National Housing Week is a time to raise awareness about the importance of safe and affordable housing.
Charitable Efforts
Since 2008, TRREB Members have donated over $6 million to help house and feed some of the most vulnerable members in our society through the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation.
This spring, at a time when needed most, our Members gave back to the community by donating $278,000 to shelter-related charities, food banks and children’s breakfast programs. This was in addition to the $713,000 we already donated in grants at the end of 2019 through the Ontario REALTORS Care® Foundation, totalling $1 million in charitable support this past year alone.
Our Members have connected people and properties beyond the call of real estate and have helped make a fundraising record possible in the last year.
Political Advocacy
TRREB Members are committed to being ambassadors and advocates for housing related issues through political advocacy. They have advocated for affordable home ownership, increasing housing supply and so much more.
Our Members believe that everyone deserves to have a roof over their head, and this is why through giving back to shelter-related charities and political advocacy they are making a remarkable difference each year.
